Signs of Dehydration in Pregnant Women

Dehydration is a common problem associated with pregnancy. Many women aren't aware that they are even dehydrated until they go for a prenatal visit. Dehydration can cause complications including headaches, bladder infections, contractions, and even worse, preterm labor.
Signs of Dehydration
  • Thirst
  • Dizziness
  • Headaches
  • Weakness
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Dry skin, lips, nose or mouth.
  • Dark urine (Ff you are drinking enough water your uring should be almost clear!)
To avoid dehydration consume plenty of water. You actually need more water then before you were pregnant. If you just can't get in the recommended about of water, try juices and other healthy fluids. Avoid tea and caffeniated drinks, they will actually cause you to become more dehydrated.

Keep in mind, water helps to transport those much needed nutrients to your baby and keep him healthy and growing strong!

Birth Control Options

Whether you have chosen to wait on your next pregnancy or you have chosen not to have any more at all, there are several methods for birth control widely available. Before, you had 3 options; no sex, condoms, or the pill.

With todays new sciences and technology there are plenty of birth control methods available to fit most any lifestyle.

Condoms for men
Condoms for women

The patch
The miniring
The shot
Implants

There are also two options that involve surgery:

And for those last minute emergencies such as rape, condom failure, or forgetting to take the pill, another option is Plan B. Plan B is a last minute alternative taken in the form of a pill which will prevent pregnancies after sex if taken in time.
